The MLK Community Coalition purpose is to improve the visual appearance, the human experience, urban beautification, and economic growth of Rosemoor and the surrounding communities while honoring the legacy of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.

This Initiative is a plan to dedicate the bridge over the Bishop Ford Expressway, which was dedicated in 2014, between 99th and 100th Streets on D. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Chicago. After the success of this plan, it graduated into a project to place a MLK Brick Memorial and develop twelve (12) gardens along 100th Street, Michigan to Dauphin.
